January 2024 marked my first issue with Strike Magazine Orlando. As a part of the event staff, I helped organize our two events. Eat Your Heart Out was a staff Valentine’s Party, and Strike’s Last Bite was the launch party for ISSUE ATE. Between these events, I served as Casting Director and Fashion Show Coordinator for the magazine’s first fashion show, Brutalism Renewal.

Eat Your Heart Out

On February 19th, our Valentine’s party acted as our event team debut. EYHO was an internal event for the Strike Orlando staff. It consisted of a potluck grazing table, bracelet-making stations, cookie decorating, and one of the few opportunities for staff members from different teams to meet and interact. We created the decor color scheme, activity inventory, and promotion materials as a group. Sixty members of Strike Orlando Staff attended the event at the UCF Arboretum, which ran from 3 to 6 PM.
